Terms of use

Aparté, beta version. Last updated: October 19, 2026.

Publisher

Aparté is published by Matthieu Milliot, as an individual. Address: 5 bis rue d'Auteuil, 75016 Paris, France. Contact: matthieu.milliot@gmail.com.

Purpose

Aparté records your meetings with iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch, transcribes them on the iPhone or iPad and writes a summary using an artificial intelligence model. By using the app, you accept these terms.

A beta version

Aparté is in beta: it may contain errors, change or be interrupted without notice. It is provided with no guarantee of availability.

Summaries to review

The transcript and the summary are produced automatically and may contain errors, omissions or incorrect attributions. Review them before using or sharing them: they do not replace official minutes.

Free hour and subscription

Payment, renewal and cancellation

The subscription is paid with your Apple Account and renews automatically for each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings, under Subscriptions, or from Aparté, Settings, Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple: any refund goes through Apple, under its terms, by making the request from your Apple Account (reportaproblem.apple.com). Aparté cannot directly refund a purchase made in the App Store. The rights the law grants you as a consumer still apply.

Your obligations: informing participants

Before recording, you must inform the participants and obtain their consent. Recording, without their consent, words spoken in a private or confidential capacity is punishable under Article 226-1 of the French Criminal Code. You alone are responsible for how you use Aparté and for the recordings you make. Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.

Personal data

The data processed by Aparté, what is sent to Anthropic and what stays on your iPhone or iPad are described in the privacy policy. Sending the transcript to Claude requires your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Aparté is provided as is during the beta, and the publisher is not liable for the consequences of an error in a summary, of unavailability or of data loss. These limitations do not apply where the law prohibits them, in particular with regard to consumers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts are determined according to the rules that apply to consumers.

Changes

These terms may change; the date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
